Josh Schwake is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work crosses ceramics, photography, printmaking, and various painting techniques. Born in Northeast Iowa, Josh studied at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids. Using monotype printing methods, he takes a minimalist approach to his art. In his most recent work, Josh brings forth un-manipulated photography and larger-scale minimalist paintings - quiet, considered, and full of place.
